Happy December, friends. Don’t know about you, but I’m ready to throw all of 2021’s stuff out on the lawn and tell it to leave and never, ever come back. It’s been a brutal year for so many of us. Loss feels bigger. Pain feels worse. If you’re feeling the same way, know you aren’t all alone. This line: "concentration of power of who can say yes to a pitch" feels like it can apply to a *lot.* Not that gatekeeping is all bad, but the parameters and who has the authority to say yes have gotten so narrow.
